Week 15 ~ Bachelorette Week!!

So last night was my bachelorette... I GOT WASTED!!!! hahaha.... as if!! I got loaded with food!! There were so many goodies!! I have to be careful with what I eat because the babies apparently don't like the same food I like (boo to them!). What do you mean you can only stand 2 pieces of pizza.... but I want more!!!! Please babies, let mommy eat like she used to!!! There were some yummy cupcakes (I had one for breakfast this morning...hehe) and an amazing Skor like square that was heavenly! (Thanks Josée!!), this is one time I was happy the babies don't let me eat too much because I would have brought the whole dish on my lap and barked at anyone who tried to get near it... it was THAT good!  We played some good fun games, I saw some awesome toilet paper wedding dresses that made me re-think my wedding dress choice, good work ladies!  I got treated to an awesome mani/pedi, it felt so good! The girls also set up a girl who spent the evening in the suite (we booked a hotel suite at the Casino) who did mani/pedis.  There was a medium/fortune teller, she was busy from 6:30 to 12:30, it was pretty neat to hear the things she had to say.  She told me that I was destined to have a lot of money (HAHA!!! yeah right, let's hope!!), that I was going to have one child that would give me trouble but the other two would be very calm and be amazing.  They are also supposed to do their nights very early on (here's to hoping!!).

There were so many of my girlfriends there, I couldn't spend more than 10 minutes with any of them, but I was great to see them all there, I really felt the love.  I will really need a nap, some of my crazier lady friends (love you!!) decided to stay up and party all night!!  I know it was a good night for people when one of your best friends falls on the bed at the end of the night and passes out in her dress :-).  As awesome as the bed was, I still didn't get enough sleep! A nap is definitely in order for today, I actually feel hungover even if all I had were mocktails!!  I had such a good time, thanks to the two ladies who will be standing by my side at the wedding, Cindy and Ainslie, who planned such a fun, low key, evening.
All decked out!
As far as the babies are this week, nothing much new, like I said before, I'm not feeling sick anymore unless I eat too much at one time, I need to eat little bits at a time.  My belly feels tight ALL THE TIME!  Every time I get up, it feels like gravity takes over and wants to drag my belly down stretching the crap out of it!  I'm still finding it hard to find a good position to sleep in.  We are buying a king size bed today so hopefully that might help, maybe I can stretch out a little more!  Oh well, it won't get any better! Week 15 and I'm not even halfway there!!! As much as I complain, I'm loving being pregnant, it's a great miracle that I'm privileged to go through.  I will take all the bad if it takes me to my babies!!!  According to my pregnancy app, this week, the babies are about 4 inches long, weigh about 2.5 oz and are like the size of navel orange.

48" round, another inch!!

Week 13 & 14

Well hello everyone! I know it's been two weeks but this mama to be has been super busy! I've been volunteering for Surf-Ivor Parlee Beach (which is a mini-version of the real Survivor) and I haven't had a chance to see my hubby to be or my dog let alone get online!  The event went very well and I am back and I need to start relaxing! I went to see both my specialist and I met my OB this week.  All news was good news!! When I went to see the specialist, it was a new doctor but she was just as nice as the other one.  They measured the babies and they were all measuring perfectly along with me.  My sister came with me to see her future nieces and/or nephews and it was really awesome to have her there.  I'll be going to the specialist so often that there will be a rotation between my mother, Gabriel and my sister to accompany me to see the babies.  They were so cute! Baby A was moving around like a crazy little monkey while Baby C was just chillin on his back. It was so funny to see Baby A moving around underneath Baby C while we were examining him/her.  Baby B was a mix in between just moving around a little bit, at one point he/she looked like he/she was sucking his/her thumb!  Doctor Murphy asked me if I wanted to know the baby's genders and I was like YES!!!  So she started looking at Baby B to see if she could tell and she was humming and aaaahing turning the machine this way and that.  At one point she said, well if I look this way it's a girl and if I turn it this way, it's a boy so I can't really tell so you'll have to wait.  SERIOUSLY?!? Don't bring my hopes up and then tell me I'll have to wait another three weeks!!! I will know on August 7th!!!!!!!!! However, I will only be revealing their genders at the wedding (August 17th). It'll be hard to keep it hidden for 10 whole days but it'll be so amazing to see everyone I love's reactions at our wedding!!  My appointment with my OB was good, Gabriel came with me this time as it was our first time meeting with her. Her name is Carole LeBlanc which is awesome because that's the name of my amazing aunt whom we lost last year to cancer. It's like she's watching over me and my babies....  Dr. LeBlanc was great, it was like we were talking to a friend who was just really knowledgeable! She said I measured like a 20 week singleton pregnancy (so 6 weeks more than I am!) She advised me that I will definitely won't be going back to teaching in September and that I should already limit a lot of my activities. She warned me about doing too much for the wedding preparations so I will be delegating delegating delegating!  The wedding is less than a month away!!

So as far as the pregnancy is going and how I'm dealing this week... I've gained 25 lbs already!!!!!! (AHHHHH!!!!!!!!) The doctor didn't seem concerned over it, she even said she was happy I was fairly healthy.  I'm not feeling sick all day long anymore, I can drink milk again (YES!), we all really know that means I can have ice cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I can pretty much eat anything I want and I have been, especially this last week with Surf-Ivor having so many wonderful sponsors, I've been eating nothing but JUNK! I'm actually quite sick of it, so pizza, chicken, burgers, chips, and sweets will be on the back burner for a little while!!  So those are all the good parts....  My lower back hurts a lot even after a little bit of work, I can't walk for long periods of time without having to sit down. Gabe tells me I'm not waddling yet, but my walk has definitely changed. My belly is still growing, 3 inches in the last two weeks and I'm always feeling it stretch all the time. And last but not least, my feet are swelling every night and I've had to take off my engagement ring due to my hands being bigger.  My wedding shoes are not going to be what I wanted them to be, so I got a 7$ special at Wal-Mart (still cute but sad) and I may have to buy a fake ring for the ceremony so Gabe has something to put on my finger!!

Alright, stay tuned for the next update!!! My bachelorette is next Saturday so that should be fun!! Let's get WASTED!!!!! (HAHAHA.... of course I mean everyone else!!)

Week 13 ~ 46 inches

At Surf-Ivor... If you can't read the t-shirt, it says Event Coordinator + three.

Week 14 ~ 47 inches.

Week 12 ~ And into 2nd trimester I go

Week 12
So they say this week is the magical week where everything is supposed to turn around and I'm supposed to start feeling better.... So let's cross our fingers!! I was able to eat more variety this week but I felt sick almost immediately after no matter what I ate.  Let's just hope THAT changes!! Every night, my belly feels like it's going to blow up with all the muscle stretching; it's like I can almost feel my belly growing! It's definitely a weird feeling.  I gained 2 inches of belly this week alone, if only it was that easy to take off 2 inches right ladies?? Haha!  Sleep is still a struggle, I got a pregnancy body pillow from a friend (thanks Jessie!! xox) so I'm hoping that starts helping.  I tried it last night, it was a little awkward, I'll have to play around with it until I find the sweet spot I guess.  I ended up sleeping most of the night on the couch last night partly because I know my sleep manners doesn't help Gab's sleep and partly because somehow I sleep better on my side on the couch.  Roxy likes it, she gets my side of the bed when I'm not there!
I got some maternity clothes (thanks Alicia!! xox) to add to my meager beginnings of a maternity wardrobe.  I'm almost all set, it's great! Hurray for maxi dresses that will probably see me through to the end of the warm weather, so comfy!
In another week and a few days, I have my second appointment with the specialist and I get to meet my OB.  I can't wait to see the little munchkins again and possibly hear their heartbeats for the first time!!!

Week 12 - 44"
