This is it...

...the last post of my maternity leave... it's all over and it'll never happen again.  I wish I could have taken more advantage of the time I had off but with three babies, that time was never really mine.  Mommy Groups? What are those?  Sure, I was able to visit a few times with some of my friends but it was not always relaxing.  Getting back into shape?  Round is a shape right?  Yep, still overweight, nope, still didn't weigh myself after the vacation because I know I'll just cry.  Bonding with my baby?  Which one? hahaha...  I'm just kidding, I bonded with all three, just didn't have time to focus too much on individual babies which is sad but that's the life of a mom of multiples.  Anyways, tomorrow, it all changes, but I've talked about that before so I'll let you all know how it all goes down next week.

The trip back from Florida was good except for the blood curling screams coming from Zachary for the first 15 minutes of the first flight.  The thing with Zachary, is that he's never really liked being held with his face towards your chest (which is how they tell you to hold your baby on the plane during take off and landing) so he was not pleased with my forcing him to stay this way.  He was also super tired as it was time for his afternoon nap and he hadn't even had a morning one yet.  Gabe was sitting in the seat in front of me and kept trying to see if I needed help but I couldn't hear what he was saying and he had a sleeping Jacob on him so what could he do?  Finally, the seat belt sign came off and I quickly turned him around and he was out within minutes.  The flight wasn't full and the nice stewardess had reserved rows in the back on the plane so I went back, laid Zachary down on the seats and he slept peacefully (and thankfully) for 1.5 hours!  The other two babies were great, just a little restless.  When we got to Toronto, we only had enough time to get off the plane, go through customs, get our bags, go through another clearance, put our bags on a different belt, get to our gate and board the plane. I tell you, the workers in the airports aren't too helpful even you have babies.  No sir, ma'am, we can't help you fold/unfold your stroller even if you have a baby in one arms and two bags in the other, you'll have to figure out a way to manage on your own... the nerve! So we literally had 8 minutes to spare when we got to our connecting gate AND they had to re-arrange our seats again because whoever sat us doesn't know that you can't sit three babies in the same row (not enough oxygen masks) so Gabe ended up somewhere in the 4B area where I was 16 and my sister and family were even further back.  Thankfully, we had really nice people sitting around us on both return flights.  Super understanding, even of the Zach attack!  All in all it was a really good vacation.  It was awesome to have my mom around again and I will miss (already do) the crap out of her and it'll be a long way until April but at least I'll be working so it'll go by quicker.  It definitely was not a vacation where we got to sit back, tan and relax but it was a nice change of pace and scenery and the above 15 degree weather didn't hurt!

So we get home, get the babies ready and directly to bed they go.  Sam talked angrily for maybe 10 minutes and they were all zonked out.  Good thing too because Gabe and I already had other stuff to deal with... we find out that our tenant who hadn't paid her rent yet when we left, still hadn't made any effort to pay anything.  We had given her a notice of possible eviction before we left with a nice letter saying that we'd be willing to let this one go if she paid by a certain date.  No siree, no money, AND she's still living there like as though nothing is happening!! WHAT THE WHAT??  Of course, being the nice people we are, since it was Christmas and she's a single mother of three (well four really if you count her adult daughter), we told her that the damage deposit could wait or be paid in installments.  We really screwed ourselves there because now here we sit with no rent AND no damage deposit to cover this.... Needless to say, we are taking steps tomorrow to rectify this situation.

What else do we have to deal with?  Somehow our fridge breaker got tripped so we lost everything in our fridge... oh well, it was time for a good clean up anyways.

This week was a rough week, we brought a virus back with us from Florida and all of us got sick with it.  First it was Zachary who threw up all over Gabe on Wednesday night, then Gabe was sick all night.  We didn't hear Zachary all night so we thought he was ok and we had heard Samuel cry a few times but he had stopped crying within 2 minutes so didn't think anything of it... and then we walked in their room the next morning... OH THE SMELL!!!!!!!  My poor little babies had been sick during the night and I felt so awful!  So I had two sick babies and a sick hubby on my hand.  Me?  HUGE headache.  I mean, I thought my head would split open kind of headache and no amount of Tylenol would help but no throw up.  Jacob... he waited until his afternoon nap.  He slept the whole way through and never cried but when I went to get them, Jacob was, like his brothers earlier, sitting in the middle of his throw up poor little dude.  So now, I had three sick babies and a sick husband who was doing all he could to help me despite feeling like a big piece of you know what himself.  His parents came to help and so did his friend Nesha.  Well who got sick the next day?  Yep, my in laws and Nesha...  Nesha... poor Nesha... she only visits us about twice a year and we got her super sick this summer (like she thought she wouldn't be able to fly home sick) and again this time around!  She said that next time she comes around to visit us, it'll be in a hazmat suit!  haha  Oh, and now my friend Melanie who came to visit for 30 minutes.  I'm sure glad I didn't get my new Jamberry recruit Julie sick as her mom (whom she visited) is in hospital isolation and doesn't need any of this crap!  This flu is awful!  I'm super happy I didn't get sicker than I did!  I joked with Gabe that maybe my immune system is hyped up because I'm pregnant...haha... He didn't like the joke.  I honestly don't remember the last time I threw up from being sick so my immune system must just kick some serious ass!

The boys are also teething and just not themselves in general.  I tell you, it's been a hard few days here.  They're not eating well, and it makes me so angry when they push the food I offer them away with their tongue!  They can't very well live on applesauce, crackers and yogourt!  They, yes THEY, not just Zachary, have been such sookie little babies and very hard to handle.  I know, I know, they're sick, bla bla bla, it doesn't make it any less hard! Zachary doesn't handle teething well, well he doesn't handle much of anything well, but it's even more difficult when he's not feeling good.  He cried more between yesterday and today than he did during our whole trip to Florida...  I think they needed a change of scenery and pace after being sick and cooped up in the house for days so it was a good thing we got to get out to celebrate my niece Gabrielle's 10th birthday tonight.  I can't believe she's 10... I mean, double digits!! Soon, she'll be a teenager!! What will we do then?!?  We had a really good time, the boys were great, Sam was walking all over the place, Zachary was loving discovering all the new things around him and Jacob was running around like he owned the place!

So I'll end it here as I still have lots to do before I have to get up at 5:30 tomorrow morning (gross)! So enjoy some pics!

I found this picture while I was cleaning stuff out at school.... Nala (the white dog) passed away about 6 months ago and I haven't seen Roxy since last May... it broke my heart and I didn't know what to do with it... I still don't!

Gabe loving (I actually made him smile) all the throw up on him! Sorry so graphic!  GO ZACHARY!!!
Zachary enjoying the sunshine

The boys playing with their Little People farm which I finally put together.

Happy Birthday beautiful girl... Matante loves you sooooooo much!
